The Boys & Girls Club of Oyster Bay-East Norwich announced the return of its annual holiday programs.
The club said its annual Secret Snowman program will return starting on Nov. 20. The gift program aims to help struggling families during the holiday season.
The club said each family is assigned a number which appears on a paper snowman, with information about their child’s gender, desired gift and size and color. This is to remain anonymity, the club said.
Gifts will be dropped off to the Boys & Girls Clubhouse.
The club’s Adopt-a-Family program will resume as well. The program will provide a family’s wish list, which includes necessities such as groceries, winter clothing and household items.
The Boys & Girls Club of Oyster Bay-East Norwich said it thanks its continuous supporters, and will welcome new members.
“We hope you will join us this year to help make spirits bright this holiday season. We can only imagine how wonderful it will be to see the joy on the faces of the parents, as they pick up the gifts for their children this year,” said club Program Director Cathy Barrundia in a press release.
