The Kids Need More office was packed with elves, Santas, grinches and other holiday volunteers for the 10th annual Holiday Cheer Bus Elf Ride kickoff party.

The Holiday Cheer Bus Elf Ride will take place on Dec. 22 and deliver to more than 1,500 children all over Long Island, New York City, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Kids Need More, centered in Amityville, is a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of children coping with cancer and life-threatening illnesses and traumatic events, as well as their siblings and parents. The organization provides gifts and holiday visits to the families of children coping with illnesses, and all the services are free of charge. The parents don’t have to pay anything for the holidays, thanks to the wonderful volunteers and donors who support the Holiday Cheer Bus Elf Ride and the nonprofit as a whole.
