Great Neck Library lecture: pain management through mindfulness

The Great Neck Library will host a lecture for patrons to learn about the different ways to adopt and live a healthier lifestyle to increase vitality and confidence.

Robin Eckman will show attendees preventive strategies, exercise, safety and wellness as you age gracefully.

Eckman is an occupational therapist, integrative nutrition health coach, certified fall prevention specialist and National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer.

A graduate of Yeshiva University Stern College for Women and New York University School of Education Department of Occupational Therapy, she received her certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, her CFPS from PESI Healthcare and Evergreen Certifications and her CPT from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Eckman is an experienced occupational therapist with more than 27 years of experience treating an array of diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary, Dementia and complications from ESRD and Diabetes.

This lecture will be at the Great Neck Library, 159 Bayview Ave. in Great Neck, on Monday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m.

Registration is required. Great Neck cardholders and residents can register in-person, online or via phone. Non-residents are welcome as walk-ins, as space allows.
