American Legion scholarship applications are now available at the library. Applicants must be the son/daughter, grandson/daughter or great grandson/daughter of a veteran or active service member. Submission deadline is March 1, 2025.

“Thank you to everyone who participated in October’s Great Give Back and donated clothing and toiletries to the LI Coalition for the Homeless. Please contact the Book Fairies in Freeport with any donations. Items left outside the library will be discarded.”

Adult Programs:
Yoga on Nov. 9, 16, 23 and 30; Dec. 7, 14, 21 and 28 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Assembly Room of Village Hall. $10 p/person, p/session. Bring a yoga mat, water bottle and towel. Wear comfortable clothes.

Chair Yoga on Nov. 21 and 28; Dec. 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 11 a.m. to noon in the Assembly Room of Village Hall. Designed for seniors and those with limited mobility. $10 p/person, p/session.

Reiki on Nov. 21; Dec. 5 and 19 at 6 p.m. in the Assembly Room of Village Hall. $10 p/person; p/session.

Financial Literacy Workshop on Nov. 12, Dec. 10; Jan. 14 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Assembly Room of Village Hall. Four part series includes investing, retirement and estate planning.

Winter Painting with Lisa Colon on Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. in the library. $10 material fee due at registration.

Holiday Entertaining with Chef Barbara Sheridan on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. in the Assembly Room of Village Hall. $10 p/person.

Ceramic Christmas Ornament Craft with Rosemarie Attard on Dec. 17 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the library. $20 material fee. Limited to 25 participants.

Children’s Programs:
Crafty Thanksgiving on Nov. 16 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in the Children’s Room for all ages.

Minecraft Christmas Gingerbread House on Nov. 30 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Children’s Room for grades K-7. Limited to 15 participants. Devices will be provided to the first 10 registrants; the remaining 5 will bring their own.
