Arrest – Nassau County

An Elmont man was arrested by the Nassau County Major Case Bureau on Wednesday, Nov. 6, for multiple alleged robberies that occurred in Nassau County.

According to detectives, defendant Christian Antonio Sepulveda Silva, 43, of 276 Benson Ave. in Elmont was responsible for the following robberies:

July 28 at 11:38 p.m.: The defendant allegedly entered Bolla Mart Gas Station located at 380 Peninsula Blvd. in Hempstead and approached a male employee demanding money stating he had a gun. The employee in fear for his safety complied and the defendant fled the scene.

July 29 at 2:37 a.m.: The defendant allegedly entered Atlantic Gas Station located at 850 N. Corona Ave. in Valley Stream and walked behind the counter brandishing a knife and demanding cash. The employee in fear for his safety complied and the defendant fled the scene.

After a thorough investigation, the defendant was located and placed under arrest without incident. Defendant Christian Antonio Sepulveda Silva is charged with two counts of first-degree robbery.

He was arraigned on Nov. 7 at the First District Court, located at 99 Main St. in Hempstead.

It was also determined that the defendant entered the United States on Nov. 11, 2023 through the Visa Waiver Program, according to police.

Burglary – Jericho

A burglary that occurred on Monday, Oct. 21 at 2:54 p.m. in Jericho was reported by Nassau County Second Squad.

According to detectives, three unknown female subjects allegedly entered a 16th Street home and rummaged through the homeowner’s belongings, leaving his residence disheveled.

The first female subject is described as an Asian/Pacific Islander, 40-45 years old and approximately 160 pounds. The second female subject is described as an Asian/Pacific Islander, 40-45 years old. The third female subject is described as an Asian/Pacific Islander, 25-30 years old, approximately 5’4” tall and 110 pounds.

All subjects fled the location in a grey Chrysler minivan, according to police. The investigation is ongoing.

Robbery – North New Hyde Park

A male juvenile was arrested by Nassau County’s Third Squad for an alleged robbery that occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 3:50 p.m. in North New Hyde Park.

According to detectives, a male juvenile, 17, entered Target located at 1400 Union Turnpike.

The juvenile then entered the electronics department where he tampered and damaged a merchandise protection device before concealing the item. The defendant then passed all points of purchase without rendering payment and attempted to exit the store, police said.

A loss prevention officer confronted the juvenile and a struggle ensued. The defendant then dropped the merchandise and fled the scene on foot, according to police.

A short time later, the defendant was located and placed under arrest without incident.

Subsequent to the investigation, a black knife was recovered on the juvenile. No injuries were reported.

The defendant was charged with third-degree robbery, criminal mischief and criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned on Nov. 6 at the Nassau County First District Court-Youth Part in Hempstead.
