Town of North Hempstead Receiver of Taxes Mary Jo Collins will be offering a free series of property assessment grievance workshops in communities throughout North Hempstead in January and February.
“This past fall, hundreds of residents took advantage of my free Property Tax Exemption Seminars. That’s when I realized there was a need for a workshop on grieving your home’s assessed value. If you believe your property assessment is not accurate as compared to neighboring homes, I strongly encourage you to come to one of these events and learn how to challenge it.”

- Jan. 13 at 6:30 p.m. – Mineola Memorial Library, 195 Marcellus Road, Mineola
- Jan. 14 at 4 p.m. – Port Washington Public Library, 1 Library Drive, Port Washington
- Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. – Westbury Memorial Library, 445 Jefferson St., Westbury
- Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. – Great Neck Library, 159 Bayview Ave., Great Neck
- Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. – Shelter Rock Library, 165 Searingtown Road, Albertson
