The Bryant Library is offering two new opportunities for English language learners to improve their skills in the coming months.
The library’s “Let’s Talk: Practice English” program provides an informal, librarian-led setting where learners can practice speaking English in small groups. Each session will begin with a conversation topic provided by the librarian. The program is open to beginners, and no registration is required. Sessions will be held on Thursdays from 11:00-11:30 a.m. on Jan. 9, 23, and February 6, 20.
Additionally, the library is offering formal English as a Second Language (ESL) classes led by instructor Paola Diaz. These classes, designed for beginners, will cover basic vocabulary, simple sentence structures, numbers, greetings, and introductions. The ESL classes will meet Saturdays from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Jan. 11, 18; Feb. 1, 8, 15, 22; and March 1, 8.
Interested participants can register for the ESL classes by visiting the library’s website at bryantlibrary.org or by calling 516-621-2240 ext. 240.
Both programs are open to anyone looking to improve their English language skills in a supportive, community environment.
