Hillside Public Library is partnering with Long Island Coalition for the Homeless in acquiring needed items for folks living on the streets. Our community has always been very giving to our donation drives, and we thank you for your continued generosity. There is a bin at the library in which donations could be placed, and the drive will continue until the third week of January. Listed below are some urgently needed items for folks living on the streets: Non-perishable food: such as peanut butter, crackers, chips, fruit cups and protein bars. Toiletries: baby wipes, deodorant, mouthwash, tissues and handwarmers. Warm weather clothing: water-proof gloves, long johns, warm socks and scarves. Bags: Drawstring bags, Ziploc bags and reusable bags. $5 – $10 gift cards for food: such as Dunkin, 7/11, McDonalds. |

Deadpool is now happily forgotten as Wade Wilson tries to live an ordinary but more peaceful life. However, things are upended when the Time Variance Authority forces him on a mission to save his home universe from destruction. Donning the Deadpool identity again, he finds Wolverine to hopefully help him. But Deadpool’s first real mission is to convince an embittered Wolverine that the universe is worth saving.
