Wheatley School students took center stage at the Orchestra Long Island concert on Feb. 13, performing with professional musicians.
The event, a tradition for over 30 years, provided students with an educationally invigorating experience.
“By working with professional musicians and a world-renowned conductor, maestro David Stewart Wiley, our students achieved a truly incredible and valuable performance that will last in their memory and instill confidence and growth for future years,” music teacher John D’Onofrio-Watts said.
“Students benefit greatly from this experience and gain experience preparing and performing professional-level music and performing in a full symphonic orchestra setting with professional musicians,” D’Onofrio-Watts said. “The consistency and longevity of this program is unmatched. The program offers a unique experience for students, teachers, families, and community members who attend the performance.”
