The Manhasset High School Robotics Team recently competed in their first-ever VEX Robotics Competition, finishing with an impressive bid to the quarterfinals.

The team of five students, senior Colin Hairabedian and juniors Alex Demirdjan, Zach Eng, Matthew Liolis and Ramses Naraini, made it to the quarterfinals before being eliminated. It was an amazing showing for the new team’s first competitive event.

Under the direction of club advisors Mr. Carr and Mr. Russo, students are using the VEX Robotics platform to design, build and program robots. The team is looking forward to taking their experience to their next competition coming up in March.
