Mineola High School students are volunteering their time after school to help local senior citizens understand their personal devices, including phones, tablets and laptop computers.
The program, called “Computeers”, is part of the school’s Student Service Center. It meets monthly at Mineola High School. Senior citizens from the Mineola area can sign up in advance to attend the free sessions where learners are prepared to help them feel more comfortable using their electronic devices.
Senior citizens from the Mineola community interested in participating in a “Computeers” session can contact the Mineola High School Student Service Center at (516) 237-2614.
