| On Feb. 14, eighth-graders from the Content Creation class at Herricks Middle School visited the Student Theater Arts Company program at Herricks High School to learn about improv theater.
Improvisation is a key theater skill that can be applied across multiple fields. In podcasting, a focus for the Content Creation students is being able to think on the fly and react creatively, which helps them to create engaging content.  The students from both programs played theater games to boost their spontaneity. From carrying on multiple conversations at once to giving expert presentations on fake topics, the students learned skills that will help them with their next creative project. |
