Herricks Public Schools recognized ten Herricks Middle School students who recently competed in the Mathematical Association of America’s American Math Competition (AMC) for students in eighth grade and younger.
The AMC 8 is a challenging 25-question, 40-minute math competition designed to promote developing and enhancing problem-solving skills.
Herricks students were recognized with honors, including the Honor Roll of Distinction (top 1% nationally), Honor Roll (top 5% nationally), and the Certificate of Achievement (for Grade 6 students who scored 15 or higher out of 25). Additionally, Alan Ji earned special recognition for achieving a perfect score.
