The Great Neck Student Aid Fund (GNSAF) has been a staple in Great Neck for more than 80 years, distributing grant money to qualifying college-bound or vocational students. Applicants need only apply and show that there’s financial need. The grants are not dependent upon GPA or the college or vocational school a student selects.
Applications for the September 2016 college semester are still being accepted and can be obtained through the guidance department in each of Great Neck’s high schools. Contact the guidance department or visit www.gnsaf.com for more information.
GNSAF will guide students through the process. Applicants will be assigned to a board member, who will assist the student, or anyone involved with the student, in the application process. Their goal is to make the experience of applying for a grant user-friendly. Interested students should contact GNSAF as soon as possible so they can receive a grant.
The board of GNSAF is comprised of community residents of varying backgrounds. Many have been on the board for more than 30 years, supporting and guiding students through the grant process. Some of their board members were recipients of these grants and have gone on to be extremely accomplished adults.
