My name is Lori Beth Schwartz and I am running for the open Trustee position for the Great Neck Board of Education.
My past business experience, years of service to our individual schools and district, and my love of this community make me uniquely qualified and the ideal choice for trustee.
My proven ability to successfully bring together the diverse members of our community ensures that I am in touch with concerns across our great district—a skill that is paramount to advance the work of our district at this time. I will work tirelessly to include everyone’s voices, your voices!
Through my long involvement as a parent leader and UPTC president, I have a deep working knowledge of pre-K, elementary, secondary, special education and adult education in our great district. I have participated and presided over committees such as budget, shared decision making, legislative, health education, technology, recreation, safety and transportation, and total community involvement. I have advocated for our district where it counts, with our elected officials including the chair of the New York State Education
Committee. I have perspective and I know how to get things done.
I pledge to bring new ideas, my trademark passion and fiscal responsibility to ensure success for our students, career opportunities for our talented staff and exemplary programming for our community. Your voices will be heard.
